Web 2.0
Web 2.0 is a way for students from all over to work together and share information on the World Wide Web. Students can interact with the web, adding information to websites/ blogs, collaborate with others to create pages, and share information. Years ago, students would not be able to interact with websites and share information, Web 2.0 refers to a second generation World Wide Web, in which students can create webpages, blogs, and more. Web 2.0 is a great way to have students work together to build webpages, communicate, and share information with one another.

Glogster
Glogster is an awesome website that allows students to create online posters/ collages. Where as most posters or collages simply consist of pictures, Glogster allows students to add pictures, videos, text, audio, drawings, graphics, and data. Glogster is great for students because it is easy to use and can be easily customized; students can use their own images or search for on the web, they can select the font they want to use, use a pre-made template or start with a blank one. Google Docs
Google Docs is a great, free, website for students to use. Google docs allows groups of students to work together and edit work. Students can all easily work on a report together, create a presentation, and even create charts. In order to use Google docs, students must create a Gmail account and invite their other group members to work on the document. Once the others accept the invitation, students can log on whenever they'd like and edit or add to the document. Another nice thing about Google docs is that the students can be chatting with one another while working on the document.

In order to use this website, you must create a free account. Once you create an account you can find a classroom from around the world, join a project, or create a new project. If you want to create your own project, you can start from scratch or use a template to help guide you. If you'd like to connect with a specific grade or classroom in a certain area, the search features allow you to do so. This "classroom exchange" website can be a lot of fun and very eye opening to students of all ages!

Students can easily browse videos on a specific topic or search for their school. Student can also create videos on topics and upload them to SchoolTube in order to share them with other students. This website is great because it is geared towards students, parents and educators do not to worry about what their child/ student is viewing because it is already secure. Overall, it is a fun, easy, secure website for students and teachers.
